When Nate first contacted me about photographing his and Myra's courthouse wedding, I was REALLY confused... because it just so happens that one of my best friends from middle schools brother is also named Nate Jones. Ended up not being the same Nate Jones. Super weird.

Anyways, we started their morning at Kinnick Feller park and captured some of my favorite pictures in the gazebo and on the trail before heading to the Dallas County Courthouse. The courthouse has always been one of my favorite buildings in Adel, but I never stepped foot into it until 2022, when I photographed my first courthouse wedding!

One thing you should probably know about me is that I will ALWAYS shed a tear during wedding ceremonies. Nate & Myra's ceremony was no different. In fact, the moment that really sent me over the edge was when I was grabbing a shot of Nate & Myra holding hands. Myra was starting to tear up, we locked eyes, and both giggled a little bit (total girlhood moment, even if we just met!). Something about seeing people in love really gets to me, I guess! After they exchanged vows, I grabbed a couple of shots on the steps inside the courthouse, then we headed outside and finished their session on the brick streets of Adel. This gorgeous family kept me laughing all day with chest bumps, cartwheels, backbends, and riding on each other's shoulders. Scroll through the images below to relive all the laughter, the happy tears, and every little moment that made Nate & Myra’s day so special.
