If you've read some of the other blog posts, you know Stephanie is a long time friend. Steph frequently told me she would never get married, which is why when Matt reached out about capturing his proposal, I was fist pumping with excitement. At the time, they owned four dogs. The dogs have always been Steph's babies, so of course they were included.
Matt and I planned to tell Stephanie I was scoping out their home for spots for a photo session for them, that way she wasn't confused when she saw me with my giant camera. The hard part was getting Chloe, Matt's daughter, to have all four dogs, with their bandana's on, across the pond where Matt chose to propose. PLUS, we had to get Steph separated from me so I could grab said camera and have everything ready to go.
We ended up telling a little fib about my blood sugar (the only good thing about having diabetes) and got Steph and Matt to wander around the pond while I hid behind a tree. At first, Steph didn't notice the writing on the dog's bandanas. When she finally did, and Matt dropped to one knee, she absolutely melted (and so did I)!
