I've learned that some of my absolute FAVORITE jobs have been last-second, stumbled-upon events. Gala on the Hill 2025 was actually supposed to be photographed by a good friend of mine, but she had a last-second emergency and handed the reins over to me. I had no clue what to expect, but when I walked into Bluebird Hill in Atlantic, I literally gasped. First off, everyone was dressed to the 9's. But second, the main hall was filled with a silent auction, dinner tables, and CASINO tables! SO. FUN.
As guests entered, I spent the early hours of the evening taking group and couple photos on the balloon backdrop. As the trickle of guests entering slowed, I moved into the main hall to start taking candids and photograph speeches honoring Rachel Knop and families fighting cancer in the community. The night was truly magical, and I was so honored to step in and capture all the memories of this wonderful night.
