Again with my students graduating... Liz's family reached out in the spring and said Liz specifically asked for me to photograph her senior session. We're both Type 1 Diabetic, and I think that gives us a special connection.
We started Liz's session in Adel on the brick streets. For my Adel families, the brick streets and around the Courthouse is a favorite spot for sessions. We have so many beautiful buildings for the background, along with lots of open shade. Plus, the texture of all the brick is just *chefs kiss*. Liz's session was so uniquely her. As we started, I captured some images with her pup, her bassoon, and of course, her coffee.
After our start in Adel, we headed to downtown Des Moines, where we started off a little rough with the app for paid parking not working on my phone. So... note to self, make sure you check the ParkDSM app has your updated card info and is allowing you to sign in before heading out to a session. Once we got started, we focused on Liz's faith and Type 1 Diabetes.
We finished up Liz's senior session at Union Park. This park is big and beautiful in Des Moines, featuring a carousel, gazebo, and lot's of open green space. Here we captured Liz's love of Harry Potter, including some photographs with her wand, Time-Turner, and her original books. Keep scrolling to see more of Liz's senior session.
